What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. It lets the site recognise your device on a later page or a later visit — remembering a preference, keeping you signed in, or counting you as one visitor rather than ten.
Similar technologies such as local storage and tracking pixels do comparable jobs. Where this policy says "cookies" it covers those too.
Our approach
FlyJanuary.org is a mostly static website. We use as few cookies as we can get away with, and we do not run advertising networks or sell data to data brokers.
Cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work do not require your consent. Everything else — analytics, preferences, any future marketing tags — is set only if you agree.

3. Functional — consent required
Remember choices you make, such as a dismissed notice or a saved preference. Declining these does not break the site; it just makes it slightly less convenient.
4. Marketing
We do not currently run advertising or remarketing cookies. If that changes, this page will be updated and consent requested before any such cookie is set.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies may be set by services we embed rather than by us directly. Where that happens the third party is the one setting the cookie and its own privacy policy applies. Our privacy policy explains who we share data with more broadly.
Note that this site loads web fonts from a third-party font service to render its typefaces. That request necessarily reveals your IP address to that provider, although it does not set an advertising cookie.
How to control cookies
You can change or withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings on this site, and you can delete or block cookies entirely in your browser:
Blocking all cookies will affect many websites, not just this one. Blocking only third-party cookies is usually a good balance.
Most browsers also offer a "Do Not Track" setting. There is no agreed standard for how sites should respond to it, so we rely on your explicit cookie choices instead.
Changes to this policy
If we add or remove cookies we will update this page and, where the change is material, ask for consent again. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
